  • Job Title: Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)

    Reports To: Finance Director

    Location: Colorado River BOCES

    Position Summary:

    The Administrative Assistant supports the operational and financial functions of the Colorado River BOCES. This position ensures smooth coordination of purchasing, materials distribution, invoicing, and related administrative processes. The role provides essential clerical and financial support to multiple departments, helping to reduce administrative workload across the organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Program Support – Alternative Licensure

    ● Coordinate textbooks and materials ordering for Alternative Licensure candidates through approved vendors (Amazon, Pearson, etc.).

    ● Manage and maintain candidate information for shipping and distribution of program materials.

    ● Oversee the distribution of textbooks and supplies, including mailing items directly to candidates when needed.

    ● Track, verify, and file receipts in Payhawk or other designated financial systems.

    ● Maintain records of refunds, returns, and account adjustments related to program purchases.

    ● Communicate with alternative license candidates regarding invoicing, payments, and material delivery status.

    ● Assist with resolving discrepancies in orders, payments, or refunds.

    Financial and Administrative Support

    ● Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as directed by the Finance Director.

    ● Process invoices, receipts, and purchase orders accurately and promptly.

    ● Maintain organized documentation of purchases, returns, and reimbursements.

    ● Support adherence to purchasing and tax-exempt policies.

    ● Coordinate with vendors and staff to ensure timely payments and accurate billing.

    General Office Support

    ● Provide administrative assistance to staff and program leads to reduce workload related to scheduling, correspondence, or record management.

    ● Respond to inquiries and support internal communications regarding program logistics or financial questions.

    ● Perform additional clerical or operational tasks as assigned to support efficiency and workflow within CRBOCES.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    ● Proven organizational and administrative skills, with high attention to detail.

    ● Experience with purchasing systems, invoicing, and vendor coordination.

    ● Familiarity with financial management systems preferred.

    ● Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    ● Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

    ● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace tools.

    Work Schedule:

    Part-time position; hours and schedule to be determined based on organizational need and financial review.

    Work Environment:

    This position may involve hybrid work, with both in-office and remote administrative responsibilities depending on project needs.

    Location: Yampah Mountain High School, Glenwood Springs, CO
    Reports To: Principal

    Position Summary:

    Yampah Mountain High School is seeking dedicated and flexible Substitute Teachers to provide high-quality instruction and classroom management in the absence of regular teachers. The ideal candidate demonstrates a passion for supporting diverse learners, values alternative education approaches, and fosters a safe and engaging learning environment aligned with the school’s mission.

    About Yampah Mountain High School:

    Yampah Mountain High School is an alternative public high school serving students from multiple districts in the Roaring Fork Valley. Our program emphasizes individualized learning, strong relationships, experiential education, and personal growth. We value creativity, flexibility, and connection as key elements of student success.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Deliver lesson plans and instructional materials left by the classroom teacher or create engaging, age-appropriate activities when plans are not provided.

    • Maintain a positive, respectful, and productive classroom environment.

    • Support students’ academic and social-emotional needs in alignment with school culture and expectations.

    • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administrators.

    • Follow all school policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

    • Manage classroom attendance and submit required reports as directed.

    • Adapt to different subjects, grade levels, and student needs as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.

    • Colorado Substitute Authorization, Teacher License, or ability to obtain authorization through the Colorado Department of Education.

    • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and demonstrate professionalism and reliability.

    Preferred:

    • Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.

    • Experience working with high school students, especially in alternative or experiential education settings.

    • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

    Work Schedule & Compensation:

    • As needed, based on staff absences and scheduling.

    • Flexible daily assignments (full-day or half-day).

    • The daily rate is $153.75
