Meet the AI Education Coordinator:

Melanie Battista

I'm thrilled to share the exciting news about my joining the team! Coming from the vibrant city of Philadelphia, PA, I bring a decade of experience in high school math and special education, along with a background in developing and presenting professional development and educational technology initiatives.

What really gets me pumped is the future of AI and its potential to support both teachers and students in the classroom. And here's a fun tidbit – I even utilized AI to fine-tune this bio!

In my role, I'll be leading the team in AI research, diving into the exploration of new tools specifically designed for the educational environment. I'm looking forward to contributing to our collective success and bringing innovative solutions to the table. Cheers to new beginnings!

Free AI Professional Development for Colorado Educators

Join us July 22-26 for a virtual professional development event focused on integrating artificial intelligence in the classroom. Designed to empower both educators and students, this 40-hour program will provide a certificate to help fulfill your Colorado professional learning requirements. Access a community of local educators, a resource library, and more. Attendees will also have the opportunity to win technology for their classrooms! Free Virtual Reality Camp for Teens

Spark your teenager's passion for future careers at our Career Exploration Summer Camp! This immersive 3-day camp from June 4-6 lets students ages 13-15 explore exciting fields like agri-science, health science, construction, and culinary arts through virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and simulation experiences. Led by certified teachers and hosted at Rifle Middle School in Rifle, CO, the camp runs from 9am to 3pm with lunch provided. Best of all, it's completely free for Colorado students! With limited spaces available, apply now before the May 1 deadline to secure your spot in this unique XR camp experience.
