Congratulation on your desire to become a teacher, principal, or add your special education endorsement to your existing license!  Fill out our application to begin your enrollment process.

Often times, candidates walk through application process in varying steps, depending on if they already have a teaching position.  

You must apply to our program & secure a position, documented on the Statement of Assurance form before being able to apply CDE for your alternative license.  You can and should begin your application with CDE.  In fact, you can start an application just to see what is required!

A completed enrollment application will include:
  • Completed Application to our program
  • A Letter of Recommendation from Supervisor stating you are capable of being successful in the program while teaching
  • Transcripts of All college courses
  • Copy of CDE Teaching License, if applicable.
  • Employment Contract stating that you are working in a position consistent with the license/endorsement you seek
  • A copy of the relevant Content Test Results demonstrating your knowledge of the subject area you are teaching.
  • A signed, completed copy of your Statement of Assurance Form
  • A copy of your CDE Alternative License - when received.
